Join Evans Mirageas, The Harry T. Wilks Artistic Director, and young artists from CCM on Tuesday, October 25 for a sneak peek at Cincinnati Opera’s 2012 Summer Festival. Evans will offer insight on the upcoming operas, illuminating not only the history and music of each piece, but also providing a unique insider’s look at the creation of a world-class opera season. This summer, Cincinnati Opera will stage three thrilling productions, beginning with a double bill of Italian one-act operas: Leoncavallo’s tragic Pagliacci and Puccini’s charming comedy Gianni Schicchi. Next, Cincinnati Opera will proudly present its first-ever production of The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. The season will close with a sumptuous production of Verdi’s heartrending romance La Traviata.
